Position Overview:

The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and maintaining a wide range of operational, financial, and system-related reports. This role supports weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting cycles, ensures accuracy within SAP and related systems, and provides critical insights for management decisionmaking. The position also coordinates crossfunctional activities, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and serves as a senior representative in key operational meetings.

Salary Range: $80,000-$92,000K

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

Weekly Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute the Weekly Freight Report for all Sales Orders.
  • Update and maintain the SAP Jobs File, ensuring accuracy and timely data refresh.

Monthly Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyze the Backlog Report, identifying trends and variances.
  • Prepare Bookings Reports, including overview summaries and detailed analytical insights.
  • Develop and analyze the Main Items Report, incorporating project-level forecasting and actuals, preparing analysis and answering on Head Office questions.
  • Update the Trial Balance, including mapping and reconciling data to Stravis (Group Reporting consolidation) codes.
  • Prepare the Cash Flow Forecast, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial expectations.
  • Perform Unrecognized Margin and Sales Order analysis, ensuring proper allocation across reporting segments and integrating results into the Main Items Report.
  • Perform the Monthly Financial Statement preparation

Quarterly Responsibilities

  • Prepare quarterly Financial Statements under US GAAP and IFRS
  • Prepare US GAAP and IFRS financial data Disclosure and supporting documentation.
  • Develop and publish the Quarterly Shipping Report.
  • Compile and validate the Revenue by State Report.
  • Prepare the Cycle Count Report in coordination with inventory and operations teams.

System-Related Responsibilities

  • Perform annual SAP Year‑End Balance Carryover activities.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support business visibility.
  • Troubleshoot SAP data and reporting issues, coordinating corrective actions with IT or functional teams.

Other Responsibilities

  • Serve as Small Group Activity (SGA) Coordinator, facilitating team engagement and improvement initiatives.
  • Act as the Senior Representative at Cost To Complete (Cross-Functional Team) Meetings, providing insights, updates, and strategic input.
  • Support during external audit and prepare analytical reports based on auditors requests.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience with SAP, and financial reporting tools.
  • Power BI reports development experience is a plus.
  • CGMA, CMA, CPA, CFA is a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and SAP, including advanced Excel skills
  • Familiarity with cash flow management, trial balance structure, and account mapping practices.
  • Experience with SAP, and financial reporting tools.
  • Power BI reports development experience is a plus.
  • CGMA, CMA, CPA, CFA is a plus
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS.ing of bookings, backlog, revenue recognition, and margin analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective team collaboration.
  • Highly selfmotivated, organized, and detailoriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership, lead tasks, and handle increased responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to guide processes and influence stakeholders.
