Individuals in this role will have primary responsibility for various pre-assembly and factory installation

activities related to automation solutions, including industrial robot systems. Daifuku provided material

handling solutions require a cohesive team effort inclusive of various disciplines, such as mechantronic

assembly, mechanical engineering, electrical/controls engineering, industrial engineering, software, and

project management. As part of the Robotics Team, Mechatronics & Robotics Technicians will support

implementation of designed solutions that satisfy customer requirements for safety, functionality, reliability,

throughput, and expense.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles and factory installs automated equipment at the Daifuku Dallas/Fort Worth Facility
  • Performs factory startup and validations of industrial robotic arms and end of arm tooling
  • Interfaces closely with project engineers receiving design instruction and providing feedback to engineers about the designs
  • Works with project team providing necessary support during factory commissioning, testing, and
  • debug
  • Services, calibrates and troubleshoots automation equipment in the Daifuku Factory and, occasionally at customer sites
  • Travels as needed to customer sites
  • Support warehouse coordinator as needed performing material management activities

Qualifications

1) Minimum of 1 year of experience with mechanical assembly and manufacturing

2) Experience with industrial robots and controllers is a strong plus

3) Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment a plus

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Requirements:

1) Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic system troubleshooting

2) Ability to read mechanical fabrication and assembly drawings

3) Ability to read equipment installation drawings and execute to print

4) Ability to use hand and power tools

5) Ability to learn new technologies including electrical schematic reading and basic electrical

terminations

6) Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

7) Excellent verbal and written communication skills and listening skills

8) Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines

9) Team-oriented and collaborative

10) Self-motivated
